Annyeong !
We are back to tell you everything you need to know to help you get the best experience of Korea as a digital nomad and discover our community 💚
After September and October’s high season frenzy, November usually feels like you can take a rest. The leaves turn all sorts of golden and reds. The weather gets a bit colder - but it’s not so cold yet. You can still enjoy the fresh air on rooftops, maybe snuggled under the fluffy blankets offered by cafe owners.
Except… We haven’t rested at all! Hoppin House, our coliving and coworking space in Hongdae is finally open. Jeong has been travelling all around the country, organising workations in Jeju island and Hongseong. Our members came up with their own events: a rice wine tasting (in a venue which had gold toilets), fun writing groups, a cosy Halloween party and even Starcraft tournament outings.
Are we only halfway through the month?

🌐 COMMUNITY

Travelling as a digital nomad can sometimes feel lonely. How do you make friends, good ones, if you’re always on the move?
We asked Megan how she finds communities that fit her anywhere she goes. She’s amazing at it! She reached out to us before arriving. Two days after landing, she was already helping us with prepping Hoppin House. Think about her sweat and tears when looking at the big brown IKEA table in the living room, because figuring out what went where was work.
We miss her energy and enthusiasm already. She’s gone for now, but she’ll be back… 🌤️
💚 Megan’s Recommendations
+ 🌅 Baeogae Cafe, to enjoy a sunset over Seoul’s skyline, with friends.+ ☕️ Gute Leute, to drink the best coffee (get the black sesame latte!).+ 🍁 Cheomseongdae Observatory, to admire the pink muhly in fall
💌 Send us your digital nomad story and tips! We’d love to feature you in a future issue of this newsletter. You can answer this email or contact us through Instagram.
