Annyeong !

Welcome to the Digital Nomads Korea monthly newsletter! We’ll tell you everything you need to know to help you get the best experience of Korea as a digital nomad and discover our community 💚

Today, we start with cherry blossom season 🌸 The ephemeral bloom was stunning this year, despite getting delayed by nearly two weeks because of an unexpected cold wave. The setback sent the tourism industry tumbling but long-stay Digital Nomads enjoyed the show to the fullest 🥂

Not unlike the cherry blossoms, this newsletter comes to your email box a few weeks late 🤭. Our cold wave was happy news, though: the new Digital Nomad visa!

To all of our community members who have been pioneering obtaining the visa and actively sharing information, thank you for being so awesome! 🙏

🥳 DIGITAL NOMAD VISA NEWS

The visa is a pilot program, which means embassies around the world weren’t all selected for it and many are still gathering data before they post the information online. We have been updating the information on our website and we’ve been in contact with the Ministry of Justice to answer your questions.

Don’t panic if you’re not getting proper answers yet: things are a bit slow, but they are starting to get clearer and we’re actively working on a service that will make applying much easier for you!

🤓 We have 3 articles for you to dive deeper into the Digital Nomad visa requirements and impact:

🫶  We created dedicated channels for the visa discussions on both our Discord and Whatsapp now! Don’t hesitate to join to ask your questions.

There’s a lot of recent information for specific countries, as well as recommandations for apostille services, digital nomad medical insurance and other administrative hurdles 🙌

🤗 COMMUNITY

Erika and Anh Tuan hate being labeled as a couple. ‘Hate’ is a strong word, but they mean it. Both of them already spend most of their day together working online as book publishers and infopreneurs. In the evening they go to local events, often the same ones, and often meet the same people. Then they travel to new destinations - that’s a whole one day, sometimes two, of just being with each other 100% of the time!

That’s a lot and that’s why both loved Digital Nomads Korea. The weekly events of the community let them meet people by themselves, instead of as an inseparable duo.
