Who is ready for the Cherry Blossoms? 

Spring is already in the air. Temperatures are going up fast, which means the pink marvels of Sakura trees are forecasted to come early this year. White magnolias and yellow fields of canola flowers will bloom at the same time.

This is great because we have a ton of events planned outdoors for you this month.

First, a little introduction: we have new members on our team! 

Welcome Dogukan, our new community manager 🎉 

Coming to us from Turkey, he’s lived six years in Korea as a student. You’ll be seeing a lot of his boundless enthusiasm around Hoppin House, our coworking and coliving space.

He’s the one who will be coordinating most events from now on, so feel free to @ him on Discord & WhatsApp. Or connect on Instagram and Linkedin!

We’ve also got Jessie and Daeun, our new event hosts 🫶. They volunteered to help us with regular outings for bouldering sessions, hiking, and city tours. Expect to see a lot more of those in the future on Meetup. Thank you girls 🥰

🎉 Digital Nomad Visa Updates

As you probably already know, Digital Nomad Visa updates have been pretty scarce these last few months. It’s still running this year, but what about the future? How will it impact taxes? And for Nomads who live in Korea for two years under this visa, what will happen after?

We are working with two of our community members to gather information, feedback, and complaints to bring it to the government and try to improve the situation. We’ll keep you posted on our findings and progress in this blog article with all the latest info on the visa.
