Weirdly, everything was open during Chuseok - one of the most important Korean holiday - this year. It also lasted super long, nearly 10 days… Maybe you didn’t even notice it was happening!
We sure didn’t, as our team was in Japan for Colive Fukuoka, a very cool nomad annual event. We’re now back in Busan and Seoul and, soon, Jeju 😱
In this newsletter:
We’re going on a surprise workation in Jeju end of October
We’re hosting the last workation of Hoppin Busan 2025 💔
7 K-Dramas to watch to improve your Korean

To give you an idea of what to expect, we thought we’d let Hoppin Busan participants tell you themselves:
I find Hoppin workations such an easy place to make friends from everywhere as well as locals. I stayed during the Asia Weeks and met so many incredible people from Japan and Taiwan. There are so many moments we can connect and make unique memories, like when we rode a yacht Gwangalli bridge with fireworks. It was just magical. I can’t wait to visit all of them in their countries!
We did so many different things! We ate at the night market - tteokbokki, fish cakes, jeon, sikhye, and bingsu. Went to baseball - where hearing the chants and seeing the cheerleaders’ dances kept us energized despite our team losing (laughs). I loved that we could be all serious during the day, coworking and going to business events, and then let loose during events. When we went paddle-boarding, we ended up with 2-3 people paddling on one board. (Laughs.)
I also went to last year’s Busan workation, and both times, my favorite thing ended up being the small gatherings. When we all hung out on the beach, chilling with a drink, talking. I mean, that’s the best thing, isn't it? Meeting people, getting to know them... I loved the reunion party at the end of the summer, where a lot of people from last year attended. It was such a great vibe by the ocean.

Jazz festival, coast swag, night market tour, and coworking outside.
📺 Learn Korean with K-Dramas
While the Korean Language workation (the last one 😭) is happening in Busan, here are 7 K-dramas that will help you practice your listening skills and build up your vocabulary lists.
Bonus, they’re a very efficient method to learn the subtleties of politeness in the Korean language, get a grasp of how people refer to each other, and keep up to date with the latest slang.
