Annyeong !

With the end of summer, everyone seems to be traveling to Korea. It got us curious to hear more about how you became nomads. Why do you want change in your life? Why does traveling make you happy? We asked William, one of our members who became a digital nomad by chance - during the pandemic.

We’re also organizing more experiences for you in Korea so you get to see more of the country! Our meetups are back in Seoul with Anh Tuan and Erika, our new community managers. They’ll be happy to help you organize and host events. You can reach out to them through our Discord and Whatsapp.

Our September Hoppin Busan pop-up coliving experiment was so successful that we are launching a long-term Hoppin space in Busan from October. And in November, we’re taking you on a Workation retreat for one week in Jeju!

🌊 HOPPIN HOUSE BUSAN

It’s hard to believe we’re already on the last week of our pop-up coliving, Hoppin Busan. We had more than 80 people coming from 27 countries. This is mind-blowing to us. Two years ago, we were only organizing small weekly meetups in Seoul!

The feedback was so great that we decided to launch a Digital Nomads Korea in Busan meetup group there. We already hosted an epic opening event last weekend, inviting new members and locals. Another exciting news: we are opening Hoppin House Busan from this October onwards! We'll soon have more information, but you can start signing up for updates by clicking the link👇

🤗 COMMUNITY INTERVIEW

If you had to describe him, William is incredibly easygoing. He loves hanging out with friends and going on trips for weeks at a time. He can also disappear into his work - and he’ll expect you to drag him out of there before he forgets what the sky looks like. He likes taking pictures more than being in them, of which his Instagram is proof.

Like most of his destinations, South Korea was chosen because of friends, but it wasn’t his first time coming here… So, here’s to a journey of rediscovery - where traveling with friends can change your mind, and even change your life.

💚 William’s Recommendations

+  🍢 Igane Yangkkochi Daechijeom, a lamb skewers take on Korean BBQ+  🌊 Jindo sea parting festival, a nighttime festival that happens only once a year+  🚲 Ddareungi, an app to rent bicycles and enjoy the Han River differently

💌  Send us your digital nomad story and tips! We’d love to feature you in a future issue of this newsletter. You can answer this email or contact us through Instagram.

🍣 COLIVE FUKUOKA

Last call to join Colive Fukuoka 2024, a Digital Nomad pop-up community in Japan this October!

You’ll experience delicious food during this month filled with events, like the 'Digital Nomad Conference' on the 22nd, where Digital Nomads Korea and Hoppin will be featured 👀
